to Laurie's Daycare and thank you for visiting my site. My name is Laurie and I am a home daycare provider located in Kanata (Ottawa), Ontario on a quiet residential street. I have been married to Lewis for 28 years and have 3 children - Michael 25, Elaine 23 and Heather 18. My house is smoke-free. I do have pets - two standard poodles. The children are not allowed to play with the pets. The pets have never done anything to hurt anybody but I do not want them to have the opportunity. Age Range My daycare is only for children from newborn to junior kindergarten age (approximately 4 years old). Once they reach school age, they must leave my daycare. This has made for a very cohesive daycare, because all of my attention and activities are aimed at this select age group. You will not find before/after school children here, nor toys/activities that are inappropriate for your child. Rates and Availability Please contact me for current rates and available spaces. |

Laurie's Daycare the kids have fun! My house is fully equipped for daycare with age-appropriate toys both indoors and outdoors. There is a fully fenced large play yard with a Little Tykes playhouse, swingset, teeter-totters and other toys. A garage full of daycare riding/push toys await your little one for those playtimes in the driveway when they can pretend to be driving somewhere! Health and Safety I am an ex-registered nurse. My CPR and first-aid are up-to-date. I am a network leader for CCPRN (Childcare Providers Resource Network). This organization offers training, information, resources and support to those providing child care in a home setting. I am the leader in Katimavik, Kanata for this organization and as such, provide a leadership role for the other home childcare providers in my area and help parents looking for childcare meet potential home daycare providers. |
